The following is a summary of key action items taken by the Mayor and Council at the last City Council meeting. The meeting was held at City Hall at 25 East Alabama Street, Tallapoosa.

City Council “Regular” Meeting – May 11, 2026
- Approved Financials, Minutes and Checks over $300
- Approved to table the Re-zoning Parcel TA10-0165 – Steven Rinehart
- Approved the Annexation and Re-zoning request by Haralson County Board of Commissioners
- Approved for City to purchase 2 Generators and 1 Pump that will be 75% paid for by FEMA/GEMA Grants
- Approved Closure of two dormant checking accounts as recommended by the Auditor
- Approved purchase of Skidsteer, Tilt Trailer, Sewer Camera and Utilities Locator for Public Works Department
- Approved to go into Executive Session for Personnel and Land purchase discussion
