With MyGovHub
The City of Tallapoosa has an online payment system called MyGovHub. This system allows residents to inquire about their utility billing account activity, review billings, payment, and usage history, and make individual payments online either by debit/credit card or electronic check. These payments are immediately applied to their accounts. MyGovHub also allows residents to sign up for paperless billing, whereby they are notified via email when utility bills are issued instead of receiving a traditional paper bill in the mail.
Online sign-up is very easy and makes paying your bill fast and convenient. Two payment methods are available if you decide to pay your bill online. One method is called “eCheck,” and the other is “debit/credit card.” There is a convenience fee associated with paying your bills online. The cost for paying by eCheck is $2.00 per transaction, and the debit/credit card fee is 2.95 %. Please note that the City of Tallapoosa does not receive the money for this convenience fee. The credit card processing company collects the convenience fee.
IMPORTANT: Do not use the online bill pay system if you are in a possible cut-off situation and want to avoid a cut-off or get a quicker service restoration. The City of Tallapoosa is NOT liable if you receive a disconnect notice and do not call our office BEFORE making payment. Your services may be disconnected and will be subject to a reconnection fee. If you are disconnected, your account balance plus a reconnection fee will need to be paid in FULL before services are reconnected. If you are disconnected and make an online payment, your utilities WILL NOT be reconnected unless you contact our office to inform us of the payment. The City of Tallapoosa allows up to 48 hours after we receive payment to reconnect any services.

Remember, it can take up to seven (7) days for a mailed payment to make its way through the mail and be processed.
Your payment is due, whether the delivery service delivers or not.

Online Through a Bank
If you are paying online through a bank account, you must include your account number when you set the City of Tallapoosa as a payee for online payment. Although you may have set up payment through an online portal, your bank may write and print a check and mail it to the City of Tallapoosa on your behalf. Remember, it can take up to seven (7) days for a mailed payment to make its way through the mail and be processed. To ensure that the check is sent to the right place, please be sure your bank has the correct remittance address for the City of Tallapoosa:
