A special election shall be held in Tallapoosa to fill the vacancy in the office of City Council Post #3, caused by the resignation of Jacqueline Roberts to allow her to qualify for the Position of Mayor. Qualifying for this position will begin on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 and continue through Friday, September 10, 2021.

The City of Tallapoosa Governing Authority does hereby announce that the millage rate will be set at a meeting to be held at the Tallapoosa City Hall on August 30, 2021 at 5:00 P.M. – Pursuant to the requirements of O.C.G.A. Section 48-5-32 does hereby publish the current year’s tax digest and levy, along with the history of the tax digest and levy for the past five years.
