Action Summary of City Council Meetings
The following is a summary of key action items taken by the Mayor and Council at the last City Council meeting. The meeting was held at City Hall at 25 East Alabama Street, Tallapoosa.

City Council “Regular” Meeting – February 19, 2024
- Minutes, financials, and checks over $300 approved.
- Adopted amendments to the Building and Building Code Ordinance.
- Adopted Subdivision ordinance.
- Approved the low bidder (Lee Hulsey Construction – $116,000.00) for the renovation of the Ball building.
- Approved altering the date on the Sapp preliminary plat since the original was dated incorrectly. The new date will begin on February 19, 2024, and end on February 19, 2025.
- Approved the Patterson plat which allows the owner to subdivide the property into 3 blocks. The parcel of land is located on the corner of West Atlanta Street and South Kelly Street.
The next scheduled meeting for the Mayor and Council is Monday,
March 11th, at 6:00 pm at City Hall at 25 E. Alabama St.
