Action Summary of City Council Meetings
The following is a summary of key action items taken by the Mayor and Council at the last City Council meeting. The meeting was held at City Hall at 25 East Alabama Street, Tallapoosa.
City Council “Regular” Meeting – July 10, 2023
- Minutes, financials, and checks over $300 approved.
- Jimmy Thrower and Tim Pope’s appointments to the Tallapoosa Planning Commission were approved.
- Motion approved on preliminary plat submitted for 13 houses on Mill Street. The plans are to do grading and utilities, no building permits.
- Motion approved the road dedication honoring the late William “Pete” Bridges on July 14th.
- Motion approved on the reappointments of Barbara Bridges and Lynn Cole to the Library Board.
The next scheduled meeting for Mayor and Council is Monday, August 14th, at 6:00 pm at City Hall at 25 E. Alabama St.
