West Georgia Regional Library System is a member of the PINES system, a statewide network of 300 libraries that allow reciprocal borrowing. You aren’t limited to just the books housed in the library you visit — if it’s available in any PINES library, it can be delivered to your library.
That’s access to over 10 million books!

Once you download and fill out the application, you may scan and upload the form(s) by clicking the upload files button below. You will need to include 1. A government-issued photo ID (e.g. drivers license, state ID, passport) 2. A printed item with your name & current address (e.g. mail, lease, check stub).
What do I need to do to get a library card?
Fill out an application and present it at a library with two forms of ID, one from each of these categories:
- a government-issued photo ID (e.g. drivers license, state ID, passport)
- a printed item with your name & current address (e.g. mail, lease, check stub)
You can get an application at any library or print one out to fill in before you come in.
Applications are available in English and Spanish.
You may also apply for an e-card, which gives you immediate access to all digital resources at the West Georgia Regional Library System, such as free e-books and e-audiobooks through Cloud Library and eRead Kids, Mango Languages, Learning Express, and much more. If you would like to upgrade your PINES e-card to a full library PINES card to check out books and other materials, you can bring your e-card account number and photo ID to your library.

Who can get a library card?
A library card is free if:
- you live in Georgia
- you attend school in Georgia
- you work in Georgia
- you own property in Georgia
Anyone else can get a library card for a $25 annual fee or $12.50 for 6 months.
Can those under 18 get a library card?
Yes! However, a parent or guardian must accompany their child when applying for a card.
The parent must present the required documents for a library card (listed above) and sign their child’s card.
